Day 1 Drive Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar
In morning after breakfast drive to Bahirdar through Debre Libanos monastery and Blue Nile Gorge.

Day 2 Visit attractions in Bahir Dar, Blue Nile Fall, Lake Tana and its Monasteries
In the morning after breakfast make boat trip on Lake Tana to visit isolated monasteries. There is good birding in the lush forest surrounding much of the lake. Then drive to the thundering Blue Nile Falls. Along the walk to the falls, birding is excellent.

Day 3 Drive from Bahir Dar to Gondar
In the morning drive to Gondar. Then city tour of Gondar including a visit to the Royal Compound, where enchanting 17th century castles stand. Also, visit Debre Berhan Selassie Church meaning Trinity at the Mount of Light.

Day 4 Visit Gondar and Simein Mountains National Park
Morning after breakfast drive to the jagged panorama of the Simien Mountains National Park, famed for its exclusive landscape, afro-alpine vegetation and unique wildlife, where you may spot the endemic Wallia Ibex, Gelada Baboon troops, Bushbuck, Klipspringer. Then drive back to Gonder.

Day 5 Drive from Gondar to Lalibela
In the morning after breakfast drive to Lalibela through Worita also visit the Awramba community village.

Day 6 Visit Rock Hwen Churches in Lalibela
After breakfast visit Lalibela rock hewn churches, famous for its rock-hewn churches dating back 800 years. This is the most important stop on the historical route and from the air the 11 churches, carved into the rugged mountainside, present an awesome spectacle. Afternoon excursion to the most spectacular churches.

Day 7 Lalibela to Addis Ababa
In the morning fly back to Addis Ababa and shopping at souvenir shops. Evening fair well dinner and transfer to air port for departure. Please note that this tour can end in Axum instead of Gondar for no additional cost.
